Bill recalls the presses were run by hand at the Foster Brook plant. He would continue to run a press at the new Owens Way Facility before transferring to Assembly & Set Up and then on to the Lock Mod where he has been for the last 14 years. Given the number of years Bill's worked with locking knives, it's no wonder his favorite Case pattern is the XX-Changer®. First working in heat treat at the Russell Boulevard plant, Mary moved to sub-assembly and then to the welding department, where she's worked for the last 20-plus years. Mary's lived through many of the technological advances made in fabricating Case knife components over the years-changes that help keep Case on top. Case knives are good, durable and dependable& she says. That's what makes them the most collected knives in the world. Mary's own Case collection includes about 100 knives. Over the years, Ken has worked in a variety of other capacities-from supervisor of concave grinding to plant superintendent to purchasing to his current role as a cost analyst in our engineering department. I feel fortunate, says Ken. Case has given me so many opportunities for career advancement... helping me to grow both professionally and personally. Like many Case enthusiasts, the Toothpick is Ken's favorite pattern. He believes Case knives are valued because of the dating system and the craftsmanship that go into them.
